AAM Member Benefit Guide

Get More out of your AAM Membership with the New AAM Member Benefit Guide

Whether you’re a longtime member of the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) or just joining, the AAM Member Benefit Guide can help you get the most out of your membership. “One of the goals of the Guide is to get it in the hands of new members so they have these valuable resources from the get-go,” says Jennifer Boehm*, a member of the AAM Communications Committee that created the guide. “But then it’s also good for someone who’s been a member for a while, like me, who hasn’t learned how to navigate the websites well. I’ve been a member three years now, and the websites are still confusing to me.”

Why a Member Guide Now?

The AAM Board’s 2025 Initiative includes an effort to increase member satisfaction. Jennifer says AAM gets quite a few questions from members searching for specific content on the websites.

Starting with instructions on how to navigate the Association’s five websites, the AAM Member Benefit Guide is considered Volume 1 of what will be a series of guides rolled out to members to meet their needs and provide further benefit. You can access the guide under Getting Started on the homepage of AAM Connect.

Using the Guide to Navigate AAM’s Websites

Boehm says AAM’s online presence includes:

  • AAM website (public facing)
  • AAM Connect (the members-only site to connect and share with other members)
  • AAM Store
  • AAM interactive blog CPA Growth Trends
  • AAM Online Learning Center

Within these sites members can access many resources. They can see what others are talking about on the Open Forum, join an AAM Circle (small meeting groups within AAM for connecting with others and sharing best practices), find upcoming events, access resources and toolkits, and much more. Moving between the five sites may have been confusing for some in the past, but not anymore. The AAM Member Benefit Guide lays it all out for you with step-by-step instructions and screen shots for easy navigation and understanding of the AAM sites.

For example, the guide walks members through how to post on AAM Connect:

AAM plans to launch a brand new website in the Spring of 2022. You can be sure you’ll get information on the new and improved website once it debuts. Until then, watch for monthly tips for using the AAM Member Benefit Guide in the AAM Minute, AAM’s monthly newsletter. Any questions about the new guide can go to info@accountingmarketing.org.
