These numbers align closely with the interest expressed to CPA Practice Advisor which reported 70% of firms advancing through the application process.

With the digitally remote world accounting firms have been thrust into, online security is more important than ever. And as we know, accounting firms find it critical to focus on providing resistance to Internet fraud and enhancing client trust. Given these growing values, it is understandable that 41% of you applied early for the domain aimed directly at enhanced security, signaling trustworthiness and strengthening branding.

However, most of you also still have questions and concerns about moving to the .CPA domain. For those who have been accepted or are seriously considering applying in the coming months, there is an extensive FAQ page and a variety of video, blog and webinar content featured on their site as education resources. We will continue to learn more as an AAM community as surges of accounting firms’ websites begin to display the new domain.
