As marketers, we are all busy growing our firms and barely have time for lunch, let alone social media management. With so much going on and a priority of billable hours, there’s no doubt that our firms’ accounting professionals also feel too busy to even think about social media. This is where a social media software tool will come in handy to help you save time, schedule your posts, and make it easier for others in your firm to do the same. My favorite social media software is ClearView Social because it helps me manage all of Henry+Horne’s social media accounts. Sprout Social and HootSuite also ranked on the favorites list. To get a broader perspective, I reached out to fellow AAM members on why these software tools made their favorite things list.
I implemented ClearView Social at Henry+Horne back in 2017 to help with the Twitter Ambassador program that we have. One of my favorite features in the software is their algorithm. The algorithm figures out when your audience is online, and allows you to post during peak time. We don’t have to fuss over posting at the perfect time; the program does it for us. I have seen that posting during peak times has allowed for a drastic increase in visibility and engagement with our posts on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Melissa Takade, Director of Marketing at Clark Nuber in Bellevue, Washington uses ClearView Social to encourage employees to post their firm’s content on social media. Takade also likes that ClearView Social provides their employees with additional content without having to go online looking for content to share. “One of the ways we amplify the reach of our content is through our employees sharing via their personal LinkedIn and/or Twitter accounts. It’s a win for both our firm and our employees because it increases the activity on our website and employees’ personal LinkedIn. If you have a lot of content to share (but your employees are not sharing), it’s a good program to check out and assess,” said Takade.

Sprout Social is another social media management tool that allows you to post content in a timely manner, create a sharable content calendar, and track your results. Sensiba San Filippo LLP uses Sprout Social to manage their social media accounts because it incorporates all of the tools they need onto one platform. “There is a social inbox where we can collaborate, reply and interact with people right from the website,” said Kaitlynn Wells, Marketing Coordinator at Sensiba San Filippo LLP. “As marketers, we know there is usually an ebb and flow of social opportunities. We enjoy the ability to schedule content ahead of time, so we are able to post consistently to keep our brand top of mind. Lastly, the engagement analytics are perfect so we can learn about our audience and where they interact most with our content. The interface is easy to navigate and saves us what we all need more of, time!”

Hootsuite is another social media management tool that can be used to schedule posts to multiple platforms. It also offers you the ability to boost your posts within the platform, to ensure your content is visible. One thing that is different about this tool is that there is a free plan option, so it’s a great software to get you started with social media management.
Angela Petrie Blum, Marketing Manager at Blue & Co., LLC, says Hootsuite has been one of her go-to tools for the past eight years. “We have a Pro plan and pay about $15/month for six connected accounts, however, if we were to have three or less, it would be free,” says Petrie Blum. She has explored all sorts of other social media management tools, but for the price and its capabilities, she hasn’t found anything that beats Hootsuite. “They have higher-scale and enterprise options, but for my small team, it serves all our needs, including direct Instagram scheduling and posting, which is not something all tools can do. I recommend Hootsuite to anyone who is doing manual posting to save time, plan ahead, and pull channel-specific and aggregate analytics for social media in one place,” said Petrie Blum.

Creating and publishing content, analytics and reporting are all tools that you can utilize to help your team stay on top of all your social media accounts. Implementing one of these software tools can easily help productivity as well as grow your social media audience while engaging your Firm to share your content.
