Results of March’s Digital Advertising Survey

Our March issue focused on digital marketing. In the last year, it seems like more and more firms were switching from a more traditional marketing mix to a more digital-heavy mix. However, the survey results indicated many firms are not solely focused on digital. The results show firms are split almost evenly when asked about utilizing Google AdWords: 53% of firms are using AdWords while 47% are not. As far as the budget allocation with digital marketing, 53% of people only have less than 10% of their budget focused on digital, and only 11% have 25-40% of their budget for digital; a quarter of respondents said their firm has not joined the 21st century yet. For those who utilize digital marketing more consistently, 83% said their favored ad platform is paid search.
