Your submission is judged on the content and on the presentation so make sure yours looks great!

Remember, presentations travel through the mail, are handled for sorting purposes and judging, and then transported to the conference for display. The more solid the presentation board is to begin with, the better it will look on display at the conference!!

The following are our suggestions for presentation:

  • All work must be presented on either 20” x 15” or 20” x 30” black art or foam core board.
  • No entry may exceed the 20” x 30” measurements.
  • All entries must be free standing. You can either have an adhesive easel or score the foam core down the middle and create a fold in your display. This will allow for better display of your work and allow it to stand-alone. See illustration below.
    • To Score- to make a cut in the back of the board lightly, cutting half of the foam, this allows for the board to fold without breaking. This can be done at most stores that carry foam core.
  • Work should be centered in the space. There can be more negative space at the bottom of the board then at the top, but be consistent.
  • Think about visual hierarchy; which piece do you want your audience to see first? Then layout your board to reflect this.

  • Use Rubber Cement, permanent spray adhesive or Glue to adhere materials to board. After shipping, tape will not hold up.
  • When displaying Brochures or 3D collateral material use pockets. These can be made out of any envelope, but the best materials to use are plastic sleeves or page protectors. Adhere one side to the board and slide materials in through the top. This allows people to look at the material while mounted on the board and pull them out for closer viewing.
  • When entering newsletters or brochures adhere the back page of newsletters or brochures directly to the board, still allowing the judges to flip through the pages.
  • When entering websites, it is important to remember you can only include the home page and two interior pages of screen shots in your presentation. The judges will NOT have time to log on to your web site to view it.
  • When entering logos and corporate identity, be sure to identify which is old and which is new.
  • When entering multi-media work include a storyboard. These are screen shots that show pieces or frames of the media.

The Entry forms can be mounted using an envelope or page proctor that is adhered to the board with glue and has the entry form slipped into it. This allows the judges to read your entry form with ease! The entry form can also be mounted directly to the board, if they are one-sided documents.
