What our Committees are doing

Welcome to the AAM Committee page. This page was developed to keep members informed of committee projects. Check back often as we'll be updating the page when new projects begin and milestones reached.

Education Committee - Responsible for the overall development of AAM's educational programming.

Conference
The 2012 Call for Speakers is now closed. The committee is currently reviewing and selecting speakers for the 2012 program. The AAM-MAA Task Force will holding its first call in November to review the AAM-MAA categories and submission and voting process. 

Interactive Education
We have had a successful year of additional AAM High and Roundtable sessions. The committee is developing some fourth quarter programs and will begin working on developing sessions for the first quarter of 2012. Visit our AAM High and Roundtable pages often for educational updates.

Publications
This year, the committee completed the 2010-2011 Marketing Program and Compensation Survey Report. The full report is located in the member only section of the site. The committee is currently editing and updating a portion of the AICPA's MAP Handbook for their resource center and will begin developing new white papers for release in 2012.

Membership Committee - Responsible for obtaining new members, monitoring member satisfaction, evaluating benefits, and maintaining chapter relations.

Marketing
The 2012 new member marketing campaign is being developed and will launch late 2011. The committee has been developing a robust prospect list to help grow membership. So far, AAM has experienced a 10% growth in membership from last year. The committee continues to develop and implement a Trial Member conversion plan. Become a member today.

Member Satisfaction
The 2012 Renewal Campaign has begun. The committee is also developing a new Ambassador Program. Login to your Member Page to renew today.

Chapter Resources
A new Chapter Manual is now available. Visit our Chapter Leadership Resource Center to view the complete manual. Also check out our Calendar of Events to see what the chapters are up to.

Communications Committee - Responsible for collecting information from the PR person on each subcommittee, and determines the plan for communicating how the information will be delivered to members, industry, public, etc. Contact us today if you have news you want to share with AAM Members.

Digital Media
The Committee will be working on increasing AAM presence on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Growth Strategies
The Winter edition  is currently in design and is scheduled to mail in November. Work has already begun on the Spring 2012 edition. Click here to view more information on Growth Strategies including article submission instructions.

Email Alert
In 2011 the AAM Minute received a new facelift, increased distribution to monthly and redeveloped its content. The committee is currently discussing ways to increase its reach in the industry. Read previous AAM Minutes.

Public Relations
The 2012 PR schedule including informative thought-leadership topics is now set. The committee is also developing media resources as well as discussing philanthropic opportunities for the association. Click here to read previous releases.
